I am under the impression that someone is trying to scam me from the number 817-398-3366 which is in Texas. I have furniture listed on Craig's List. This person texts me from 817-398-3366 and says they'll send me a cashiers check for the price of the furniture plus for me to pay the movers when they get here. I get to keep whatever is left. Yeah right. I have learned that this is now a regular scamming business. What they do is send a fake cashiers check. By the time you find out it's a fake, they are long gone with your money and your stuff. Cute, huh? This person is STILL texting me and telling me how the movers won't take his check or credit card. I wasn't born yesterday! In my opinion, this is a scammer/fraudster trying to get me.
I just received a call about the same thing and they did say they was from a company called Mr. Tech, located in Napa Ca. but wouldn't give me an address. I said it sounded like a scam and she said but sir i'm recording this call, lol. OK but you still sound fishy
First off this is not a landline, it is a cell phone. Landlines cannot send text messages. Received a threatening text messge from this number. Need info so I can report these a-holes.
I got the same request through zillow and the return email address was J.ohnv.h.ess@gmail.com. They want your email and phone because this is another caribbean island scammer sitting in an internet cafe looking at the zillow information on how much the home is worth. DO NOT ANSWER THEIR EMAIL
I got a recording that 2 class action lawsuits were going to be filed against me because I had two charges of fraud using my social security number. I haven't committed fraud but I was tempted to call them to see if anyone has been using my social security number. I opted not to call because it does sound like a scam.
These people called tonight and wanted me to sign up for dental insurance. I asked them to send me some information about it and they said they couldn't because it was a special price. If I didn't sign up right now I could not get it at that price. Wanted my bank account information or credit card number. I told them no and they got snotty and then hung up
I'd say this is a scammer because the caller lets the phone ring only four to five times and doesn't leave a voicemail. I've gotten other calls with the same area code and prefix number before.
Applied for a job with a well-known credit union directly through their website. A few hours later I received a call from this number about a "resume posted online". Heavy accent. Job related to insurance sales/banking (not what I applied for and not the same company). I believe this to be a phishing attempt since, as another poster has stated, it always happens after using an online job board.
the company keeps trying to send a fax to my home number.I`ve received 8 call in one hour and I have no way of telling them they have the wrong number.
this number was on important letter sent to my friend as his number to notify him when needed to contact for important contact. it is not his number and feel something is maybe alittle shady
This # is Voice over IP....which is Magic Jack or some other cheap line...they come and go. Don't bother wasting your time and answering!!!
